 My Name is Mary and I am a northerner living in SC, as they say here Southern by choice.
I have three wonderful daughters, all happily married. I have 4 grandsons, a grandaughter, and several great grands!
I have been a crafter ever since I was 10 years old. About 25 years ago, I bought my first stamp and I have been hooked ever since! I didn't know how to do any techniques but just putting the image on paper was enough for me! A few years later, I opened a small gift shop in Hilton Head Island and started carrying a small line of stamps (Hero Arts). One day a very enthusiastic lady came into my store and practically jumped on my table when she saw that I had rubberstamps
No, it was not Dee but she could have been her sister. That was the beginning of my stamping career, she gave me inspiration. She even sent me samples of her work when she got home. Somewhere in my studio, I still have them.
I would have to say my favorite style would be layering and embellishing. As for tools, right now would be my embossing folders but tools are funny, they change according to the times! I love using Brads, glitter or ribbon on my projects!
My favorite images are flowers, especially roses. The last few years, my favorite company has been Posh Impressions. I have always admired Dee and her excitement (I am a rather quiet person). I love her flair and the way she colors everything she touches.
My other favorite company is Stampscapes. I have a hunger to paint landscapes but not the skill so using the stamps from Stampscapes satisfies that itch.
I have been published in Vamp Stamp News, June 2009.
If I were a store owner at this time, the two things I would do more challenges with prizes and have a good website.
When I first joined Club Posh around 10 years ago, I did not take advantage of all it offered. Would watch Carol Duvall and would want to stamp just like Dee!
Now, I can't think of stamping anything without wondering what the girls on Club Posh would think of it.
I look forward to every visit I make and try to go on every day. I have never met so many people that care so much about others. Club Posh has given me inspiration to keep on trying a techniques even when my life was in a mess.
