This was so fun! A friend learned that I stamp, and asked if I would teach her. She came over tonight and I showed her some basics. Started with heat embossing, since the magic of the melting powder is what intrigued me first.
Taught her about using Marvy Markers to color on the stamps, too. She is going to our local stamp store tomorrow to SHOP! I told her to tell them I sent her. I wish I could go with her!
I am so excited about sharing my hobby with someone else! I sent her home with an armful of stamping magazines, and a couple of books for beginners, so she'll probably be up all night looking at the possibilities.
One of the cards I showed her the prototype of one I did with my favorite duet stamp, the pear. It is probably the nicest design I have ever made. My daughter loves it, too (and she is getting a box of these cards for Christmas.)
Well, I guess I'd better go finish putting the stamping supplies away.
