Greetings, stampers!

So, one day I'm minding my own business and getting ready for work (I work in the afternoons at my bro-in-law's office). There's this woman on Carol Duvall who is absolutely giddy with excitement over a sponge and some ink and what she can do to a piece of paper using these two items. I stopped what I was doing, eyes glued to the television watching Dee Gruenig and her "magical sponge." Then comes my undoing - those Duet Stamps!!!! She pulls them out and goes to town stamping on this rainbow paper. Oh my gosh, I can't leave for the office now!! LOOK AT THOSE CUTE STAMPS! I was late for work and it's all Dee's fault ;)

That was the day it started - I've got to learn how to do this!!! So, I'm slowly, but surely learning to rubberstamp. Tops on my Christmas List are Dee's videos. I can just imagine what she's going to make me do to my scrapbooks next! tee-hee

I'm so excited Dee and Warren started this forum. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from all of y'all!

Welcome, Gina! I am with you... the Duets are so great! And I know what you mean about Dee's enthusiasm. I wanted to rush out and buy stamps the first time I ever saw her on tv, and NOW you should see the collection of stamps I have. Oh, my goodness!

Let us just say that moderation isn't in my vocabulary, shall we?

not on video, or anything!! We have cable but not that HGTV that sounds like she is on!

So I'm trying to imagine all this enthusiasm you all keep talking about!!

I'd buy a video right now but our VCR is broken (we have a DVD player so it's not like an urgent fix; would much rather spend $$$ on stamping stuff lol!).

anyway my POINT that I wanted to say was Welcome Gina! And those duets . . .I keep resisting (lol) them but I just saw in the newest holiday issue of Stamping Arts & Crafts a Christmas card done using ONLY the poinsettia Duets . . it's bottom of page 54!! I think I am going to do a bunch of Christmas cards this year, copying this idea (which means I need to get those stamps, they would be my first duets!).

Your mentioning your excitement over the duets is what brought this to mind!

Also wondering if a thread or somethign could be started sometime, about "sightings" of Posh stamps and products used in the stamping mags! Or scrapbooking mags too! Or any crafting mag! And if any of you have every been "published" using Posh in a magazine!

I'm not rich or anything but after I first saw Dee on Carol Duvall using "bold" stamps (I never knew before this "how" to use bold stamps), I ordered a catalog. Then I saw all those videos and books! I bought just one video and I was hooked. Next time I saw Dee on Carol Duvall with the sponges and rainbow reinkers...I sent in another order and got both book and video on how to do this. Since then (as of today)...I'm the proud owner of ALL her videos and books AND waiting for her NEXT video to be released! (You are working on a new video, aren't you Dee?) :)
