LOL. Jeanne! Can't believe you have a book 'unread'!

I'm in the midst of doing my Jan, COTM & having a ball adding ZT aspects to it. And guess what?...

I have pattern paper that I can do ZT on to create the project!

I've not been 'into' PP, but this is getting interesting...

Wink Book Review

Title: Making Greeting Cards with Rubber Stamps
Author: MaryJo McGraw
Publisher: North Light Books--copyright 1997

I received my copy as a prize for a recent challenge & it's a welcome addition to my library of craft books.

Although its focus is stamping for cards, the various topics & techniques are easily adapted to stamping for lots of other uses.

The text is simple & instructions are, for the most part, easy to follow.

The numerous photos are excellent. Several illustrate step-by-step technique--a definite plus.

The materials list is well done. Doesn't go overboard for the begining stamper.

The source information includes companies such as Judikins & more, but does not have internet addresses--a drawback. And... It's not clear whether the sources are mfrs. or retailers. Plus... Given the copyright date, I'm betting some sources no longer exist. ('course we know Judi's still around!)

With a price tag of $21.99, I don't know that I would have purchased this volume for myself, but for someone interested in getting a good overview of stamping for cardmaking--& wants a hardcopy reference--I can certainly recommend a look-see @ this book.

Spellbinders M-Bossabilities

At the Allentown stamp show I picked up one of the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities. This is the new double sided folder that you can flip and have two different designs. They come in two different sizes, 4.25 x 5.5 and larger. I only bought the smaller one so I don't know what the dimensions are on the larger folder.

The folder makes crisp impressions with both designs and you save storage space by only having one folder. I paid $5.99 for the folder but I don't know if that was a show price or the regular price. I'm a little leery about folding it back and forth too many times but I'm sure it was tested and found to be durable. The folder is an opaque white and you can't see through it like most of the other folders so if your cardstock shifts, you won't know it until you take it out of your machine.

I bought the Sea Beauty folder and here are the designs.

TFS, Kathy! I like the idea of a duofold embosing folder--looks like nice designs. Far as the 'leery' on repeated folding? I'm less trusting on the 'testing' unless I know how much the mfr has done it.

That said? I'm interested in checking the product out based on your review & repeat my thanks for the review!

Mince Lace stamp by Judikins

I recently ordered some stamps from Judikins, one of them being this Mince Lace stamp. I love the detail in this stamp. I stamped on navy blue card stock with white pigment ink and embossed with white linen detail powder and then cut it out. As you can see, the stamp prints clearly and looks amazing when stamped with white on a dark color. This stamp will make a gorgeous background paper for all your elegant cards.

Thanks! First I looked at New Designs 2012 Blue page,no luck, then Order Form and Online Stamps and again no luck. Finally, with your directions, I found them on the blue page titled All Designs!! I don't know why they don't just have one section that says "Stamps" and all of the stamps will be there and would be found under different sections.I'm sure she has good reasons for having it the way it is, but I would look at stamps more often and buy them if it was easier to find them. Thanks again! It must just be me.I don't process things like I used to
