May recycle challenge

How about this idea for a recycle challenge, since it's spring and time to start planting those gardens: a seed packet

Any takers?

This challenge is perfect for me as I have a drawer full of tea envelopes and soaked off wine and beer bottle labels. I also have a lot of Arizona tea labels because I like the geisha and cherry blossoms on them. I just have to decide what I want to use.

Here is a recycled themed ATC.
Take a look .......................... and guess what my son got me for Christmas.
Did you guess one of those new fangled coffee makers? You would be correct.
Under the stamping is a coffee lid, and inside the little cups are filters, that is what I made the flowers out of. The paper background was stained from the coffee grounds.

Yankee, what great use of labels and all the coffee related items! Great take on the challenge! Here is my entry. I used a label from Olay body wash. It was a sticky label that peeled off well and I stuck it to white card stock and than used a die to cut out a shape. I thought this looked like a mermaid in the water, so I used shell stamps from the Posh Spring/Summer vertical set as embellishments. I stamped them on white tag board, cut them out and glittered them. The "beads" is a product called Mudd Puddles. You spread them on with a pallette knife. Thanks for a fun challenge!

So far, so good! Thanks to Yankee and Stampwilly for starting us off with a bang. Wow, you gals are not only creative, but fast! Not to mention excellent recyclers, too!

I'll try to post my card tomorrow from work -- I never seem to get a good image when I photograph it myself; the scanner is a much better bet.

Wow, Willy! Your recycle card is beautiful in every way! Never would have guessed you used the body wash label. It looks like a great piece of stamping.

The shell stamps are perfect & ditto the net ribbon!

Sheila- great job. I love coffee so it got my attention right away. Also great the way you stained your paper with the coffee grounds and used the filters. Now that is recycling at its best!

April - Gorgeous. I second Daniels comments. The netting, the stamps, the image and the beads all work beautifully together. Great recycling!!

heeeeeeeere's mine!

The brown card base is from K&COs "Old World" stack. The dark brown panel (which is embossed but you can't see it very well) is from a beautiful fancy box of Nestle chocolates. The whole box lid was embossed in a sort of random criss cross. The angel (Zettiology or Ornamentum, forget which) is stamped onto a piece of vellum, and the panel of writing under the vellum is from the packaging of some stickers (maybe Brenda Walton). The tabs are 2 Tazo tea labels. Don't remember who makes the "friend" stamp.

So, this card contains 3 recycled elements! Voilą!

LOL, Sherm! You can't go wrong with tea & chocolate! Lovely card!

Let's see... So far far we have 1 healthy/beauty piece & 2 beverage/food.

Mine (just picked up by the mail carrier) is definitely 'food' & I had lots of fun with it.

Can't wait to see who's next & what they'll use. Any cleaning products (other-than-body ) on our craft horizon?
