I've had some sets that were harder to remove than others, but eventually they all peeled off the original plastic. Maybe try chilling them in the fridge and see if they peel off.
Thank you, I was beginning to wonder if there was a trick to it and I was missing something. Thanks for the refrigerator hint.

They all have to come off from the original base. Only one time, with those $1 ones from Michaels was ripped when i pulled. It's the clear stamps quality. So please be careful when you pull but i think other famous brands clear stamps are fine.
Speaking of clear stamps, another clear stamp set from, this time, CTMH from about 8 years ago, also got sticky & kinda MELTED when i tried to use them...

I'm sitting here mounting stamps on foam. I have a pile of clear stamps that really have bit the dust, including Posh Stamps. I begged them not to go to clear and Warren emailed me and said this is a really good quality of photo polymer and won't break down over time. Alas, I believed him.

Now I have to replace the sets I bought that were clear (especially the Hanukkah set) Crumbling, tearing, and completely a waste of good money. Please don't use baby wipes either! Plain water works the best on photopolymer.

My stamps that were put on cushion lasted longer than the stamps that did not. Less wear and tear when using the stamp with a foam cushion backing. Most the stamps are gonna get tossed though. Sad day here...I've had them a really, really long time.
