Has anyone tried the Viva Pearl Pens? They are a fantastic new product that I have used in Michael Strong's classes. They are used to make pearls on your cards/projects and come in 12 colors. The beauty is that unlike other products like this, they dry in about 5 min, maybe longer for larger dots. They are really fun and easy to use. Just hold the pen straight up, squeeze and let go. They round themselves out into a pearl shape.

Gorgeous card Margaret and thanks for reviewing the Pearl Pen. I'll have to try and find them. The pens seem so much easier than trying to handle the itty bitty stick on pearls that I have. Do they come in a lot of colors?

I haven't seen this at the big box stores. Michael Strong sells them on his site and a couple of LSS's have them. They come in the 12 colors, and I've used the frost white, copper, turquoise, gold & silver. There's also rose, blue, black, red, green cream & brown. They really are a lot easier to use than placing beads/pearls.

Beautiful card, Margaret. I'm going to have to check to see if they are available here. I know Michael's doesn't have them. If these pens make the 'pearls' as good as yours are, then I definitely would like to get some in different colours, depending on the cost. Thanks for the information.

I picked up six pearl pens at the stamp convention but haven't had a chance to use them yet. As soon as I do, I'll let you know what I think.

Has anybody tried the Distress Crackle Paints? I used it the other day on an altered puzzle piece I did for a swap and all I can say is this stuff is great. It comes in a small jar and when you unscrew the lid there's a brush attached to the inside so you don't even have to get out a brush to use it. It's a thick paint because you need a thick coat for it to work. I brushed it on and left it to dry. When I came back latter, it was nicely cracked all over. When I get a chance, I want to do a chipboard piece with the crackle paint. Now do I post it here or on the chipboard thread?

Hey Nedra, I got this at the Ranger Warehouse sale and am finally using it. Did you use yours yet?

I would think the chipboard thread.

Can crackle only be used on chipboard??
