Thankyou Everyone, for the offers of uploading any artwork i will be able to get round to producing .As i speak i have made 3 projects one includes the tri colour sponging technique i only used three colours and tones which matched on one card.
I decided it was time to challenge myself and try to produce work with the Duets, these are the hardest for me to work with and i wanted to do better work than 5 years ago with them .

If i could have a private message from one of the moderators who is willing to let me have their address i shall try to get something together and hopefully have a gallery again Yipeeeee.

I have learned the hard way that Marvy markers and Blending Blox on glossy papers will fade away to nothing if not hidden away from the light. But does that also happen when you use them on matte cardstock?

I guess unless a product says archival, you can't count on it to last. There would probably be less fading on matte cardstock because the paper would absorb more of the color instead of it just sitting on the top like it does on glossy. I'm just guessing here.

I have not had any problem with Marvy or Blending Blox fading on matte cardstock. The cards I am talking about are 6 or 7 years old. Keeping them forever, I do not know.

Does anyone think that the copic markers are really that much better than the others. I just think they are way too expensive.

Kay. Based only on the reports from stampers I respect, Copics seem to worth the investment for those who use markers on a regular basis & want their work to have longevity.

That said? Several of them have decided to invest in just colors (like fleshtones) that are not readily available in other lines--markers & pencils.

Since I use a variety of products to color my work--even ground spices--I tend to recommend buying just a few of anything when possible. HTH

Kay I think they are a good investment, when you buy the refills for them

you can get 2 and 1/2 fills for the price you paid for the pen.

Daniel I tried spices but they stunk

Well, I am starting to change my mind about the copics. Went to use some markers that I have had around for a while and they are dried out. Maybe if I use 40% off coupons or wait till they are on special, I can get one at a time. The fact that they are refillable and that you can replace the nibs. I could get the fleshtone and then maybe red and green for Chriistmas, then a blue for Jan. Already would have red for valentines and green for St. Patties. Would need a couple of fall colors, then as I need them. Thanks Daniel and Trudy for your input. It was very helpful.

Kay, I have been buying them 1 at a time also, I was lucky enough to get a set of 12 last Christmas from my children and that was the best gift I got. I now use them all the time along with my Stampin' Up markers. It is well worth the investment, actually in the long run I think it will save money. M

Paper Wishes has sets of alcohol markers. They aren't copic but you get a set of six related colors for I believe it's $11.95. I might try a set because the copics are out of my price range.

I sat down and made a list of colors that I want. I already bought a Sharpie red and green, so I am going to start with fall colors. The refillability did the trick. I know that I need to watch my money, but I figure they will be pay for themselves in the long run.

Thats a great idea, KathyN. I was watching a video and the gal used a set of, I think, they were crayola markers like Copics. The set she was using was 24 markers for less than $15.00. She did use the Copic blender marker with the crayola markers and they worked great. If you are interested, pm me and I will give you the site. DebRN
