My obsession with markers knows no bounds. I did a search for bic and could find only ink pens, but I did a search for alcohol bruch markers and found something called ShinHan markers. They were talking about them on the Just Rite site and were talking about getting them at a place called Jerry's. I found them on Jery's Atrarama. The individual pens are $6.00 and he has them for $1.89. Sets of 12 markers are $72.00 and he has them for $19.99. They make a lot of claims and the reviews were good, but is this too good to be true? Today I am going to do more research. I didn't get any copics last night because I could only get them at 25% off. Here I go again.

OK, After this I will shut up until I get the pens and let you know what I think. I took the plunge and ordered 7 of the Shinhan Touch markers. Chicago Art supply was selling them for @2,99, so I just figured that he does a lot of ordering and could offer better prices. Like we used to do with cruises. The more we sold, the better the commission rate and we could pass the lower rate to the cuctomer. I did find the page for Bic but it came up page not found. I also found that Tim Holtz has Adirondack narkers. But they are very fat pens and they come empty You have to fill them with your own inks. I think they cost too much to be empty and I don't think they would be comfortable to use. I got some oranges and yellows, a green and a brown for fall use. Then I got a coule purples because I use a lot of purple on cards. I'm surprised that I didn't get turquoise, as that and rust are my fave colors. I will let you all know how I like them.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that I ordered them from Jerry's, and the reviews were from Splitcoast stampers, not JustRite.

I watched the Tim Holtz video and the checked the Ranger web site and sure enough they are empty. They even have a white band on the pen and you have to color it with your color that you put in.

Send a message via AIM to Kathy N.
Thanks Debbie, I did go to the Gina K site and I believe that they are the Bic fine point markers. I have the regular bullet point Sharpies.

after all of my research, I messed up. The Shinhan markers are NOT refillable. I read and read and I think I just read too much. But I only paid $1.89 for them so I will slowly work on getting the Spectrum Noir and use the others until they go dry.

I brought this thread back up so Virginia could see it. Also, I wanted to tell you that I got my Shinhan touch pens. They are very nice. I think the reason they were so cheap is that they are coming out with a refillable pen, so they are trying to get rid of the non refillable. I do think they will last a long time and I will start getting the Spectrum when I can.

I will make something. I have a very detailed fall stamp with a door and pumpkins. I can't really do much blending, though, as I don't have a lot of colors.

Kay, if you have a blending pen it should work with your markers and it will blend them out a little bit. I can use it with my Marvy markers. M

Hi ,has anyone purchased Spectrum Noir pens from Crafters Companion and/or do you like them better/not as good as Copics? Copics are soooo dang expensive. Are they really THAT different than S.Noirs? Thanks for your help!

I am waiting for the answer to Julie's question too. I was excited when I saw the S. Noirs but I have so many pens and brush pens that I doubt I will be ordering any time soon. In fact I have so much time; I'll bet something totally new will be on the market by then.
