Distressing Challenge for May

This month Stampwilly challenged us to distress our cards. For me, this is a real challenge. I've always strived to make my cards look "store bought." When I try to "distress" something, I tend to feel like it looks broken, damaged or should be tossed in the bin. Ages ago, several of my friends (MaryJo McGraw, Sandra McCall, pjDutton and others) showed me that roughing up the paper and splattering ink onto the stamped images, was totally fun and could actually look good!!

These artists are some of the wonderfully talented people that have shared how our rubber stamp images could be used to make things look antiqued, old and distressed. Combine this with a sense of color, texture, and composition and they made incredible little works of art. You can do this too...hop over to the May Challenge thread and I posed a few tips...not to mention there's already a post from someone who ventured out of her comfort zone with fab results.
