Question Browsing and Using Club Posh - Questions?

As you may know, we have a dedicated thread in this forum called "Did You Know ...

Did You Know ...

We try to further explain in detail some of the features of using the site and maybe some helpful features members may not be aware exist. We keep the thread closed for continuity and flow of continuous information about using the site without comments on each item.

Is there something that you wonder what it does or something you don't understand how it works? Would you like to do something that you don't know how to do? Do you want to know what something means or how to use it?

If so, please ask your questions here. We will answer them and some of the topics may be used in the "Did You Know ..." thread for reference.

We want to help you have an easy and enjoyable experience when you visit Club Posh.

Great question!

You can start a new thread in any forum except the Headlines as it is reserved for Warren. I've posted some step-by-step in the Did You Know ... thread.

Did You Know...

Thanks for asking!

Red face I'm new and 'clue' - (less) on 2 things.

What does ATC stand for, and are 'inchies' made as a single item?

Thank you for your help.

ATC=Artist Trading Card

Welcome to Club Posh, a wonderful place to learn new things, meet great people, and exchange ideas.
If you go to the Swaps forum, you will see ATC swap (Artist Trading Cards). In that thread you will read all about the rules for making those little gems. It's one of my favorite things to do. You will also see some examples in the Idea Gallery.
There is also an "inchie" swap that is going on right now and you will see the explanation of them in that thread! I just posted a card in my member gallery that shows an inchie as the card starter--check it out.
Cheers!

Thumbs up Thank you

Thank you! I'll read more tomorrow. I read the 'inchies' rules, but I guess I'm having a 'brain freeze' tonight.

Look foward to seeing more creativity in this forum.

Hi, there and so glad you posted and asked your questions.

An ATC (Artist Trading Card) is what it sounds like ... a trading card. The only rules they have are size (2 1/2" x 3 1/2") and they cannot be sold - only traded. You can stamp or decorate them with inks, papers, whatever your imagination desires. When you look at the swap forum you'll notice we have had a few swaps for different themed ATC's. ATC's are generally faster to make than a card and fun to collect. You can easily go to the Swap forum by clicking on the Swaps link on the menu bar across your top screen.

Secondly, you asked about inchies. These are a similar trading piece of art, but you might have guessed, the size is much smaller! 1" x 1"! These generally have an image and a word on them. That 1" x 1" is really small but once you get started with your idea they go really fast! We have an inchie swap in progress right now - through August 24th, 2007. Again, check out the Swaps forum and join if you'd like. We hope you will.

Hi MamaDNC,
Here's a link that will take you to a thread about inchies
http://www.clubposh.com/forum/showth...hlight=inchies

and here is a link to one of the ATC swaps that we have had
http://www.clubposh.com/forum/showth...9&page=1&pp=15
Examples of ATCs begin on page 11 of this thread.

Hope this helps
Bev

Hi
I am having trouble getting notices about messages that have been put on Posh like I used to. they never come through, nor do I get BD lists or COTM without asking for the second time. I hate to have to keep contacting the ones in charge of that. And why do I have to sign in every time I try to get to Posh. Most of the time it doesn't take my password until I have exhausted the time it gives me. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of good things. Thanks for any help you can give me. I've been out of it for about 3 weeks due to back surgery, but am getting back into things now and want to know what is going on.

Virginia, I don't know why you aren't getting notified for PM's, SuperMatt will have to answer that question. As for the birthday list and COTM, you'll have to PM Loosluck for the COTM and Redned for the BD list. I can't help you with staying signed in either. I personally never stay signed in on any of my clubs. I had a problem when I stayed signed on another club with cookies or something or other so I just sign in everytime I go on a club. Guess I wasn't much help at all. Glad you're getting back on your feet.

Virginia, I will go to your "page" and see what needs to be changed to help fix the problem. I don't know if there is anything to be done, but I'll try ASAP! Sorry you are having trouble. I hope you are feeling better after your surgery!

Adding comments to galleries of others

How do you comment in the gallery. It is usually obvious, but I can't see where.

Went to do it and then report back...hummm - now I'm confused too - it used to be so simple but it has been a while for me - perhaps a kind moderator will straighten us both out!
