February Sketch Challenge

I have been doing a lot of my cards with sketches, saves time, easy to choose colors and pp, uses up some of your scraps.

Find a new or favorite sketch, make a card and post it here

The winner of this month will be the one with the most creative sketch and have at least one heart.

Interesting! I have never sketched a design before I made my cards. Maybe that is why they take so long to make!!

Sometimes they take a long thinking of a sketch. I will post one of my sketches as an example.

Here is my sketch, when I am finished with the card I will post it. Feel free to use this sketch if you want to. $#4 has been altered to a rectangle instead of a square. 3.1/2 x 2

This is the card that I used with my sketch. I made the center square a little more rectangle to accomodate the main focal point. Judikins China Girl 3462e

Great job Mary. I love the colors chosen and you did a beautiful job coloring the china girl. Is that little brads you used as hair decorations or is it the way you shaded them? Either way, very nice. I also like the subtle shading around the stamped image. In my secret santa package I received a cool grey marker and I love that for those shadows. I think all of the Judikins asian stamp girl and boy images are so much fun. I would like to add more of those to my collection. They are the perfect size for artist trading cards (which I love to make) and easy to incorporate into a card, just as you have so creatively done above.
