Hey Daniel, I have been listening to you and you have me stamping all over those envies. My mailman is going to think I am crazy ( ok as long as he doesn't steal them). Having a lot of fun with this.

Great MAs Judi & Willy!

Judi. Love the way the flourishes work with the shells. So pretty!

Willy. I love your mix of images & colors! Cheerful & elegant at the same time.

LOL, Loosy! I often find the back of the envelope more fun to do since I don't have to allow space for addresses, but do find the 'flap' can be a problem. Happened with the MA I sent Lois. Hopefully she should have it by week's end since I mailed it from the PO tues. morning.

BTW, Lois? No need for you to cover the address when you photo/scan. I can do that with a program on my computer.

I just spent the last hour typing up for a Mail Art Swap I wad logged in and when I wanted to post it, it lost my page and said that I was not logged in. Grrr, mumble mumble. I need a break and will try again later today. I have no idea why has happened......the flower child.

PS Daniel, thanks for the link I thought we had a swap like this before. I wasn't here at the time cause I wasn't a member yet. Gret examples.

Bummer Blossom. I've lost my posts before too. Frustrating.

So now that I'm here in Germany for the Stempel-Mekka, I just had to share a mail art gallery from our German partner, Heindesign.de While we're here, it's fun to meet the mailman and get the mail. His bag is full of these decorated envelopes. Of course, I'm sure there are bills too but who cares when they're in a different language (someone else has to pay them)? Actually the "bill" envelopes are easy to spot—they're plain! It's way more fun to see the decorated Mail Art Envys!

Talking

Ach du lieber, Judi! Sere schon! What fun!

Well! Lois finally got my MA. Took the envie over a week to travel from Berwick to Philly--just a couple hundred miles. Go figure! I joked with Lois that maybe the postal workers held it up so they could look at it. Anyhoo... Here it is.

The front stamping is in honor of Kathy N. The large outline frame stamp came from her family & all the remaining images were stamps that Kathy rak'd me over the years.

The back images are all Posh ('thinking of you' & tulip) & Judikins (jar, dragon, leaf), with the exception of the 'saying stamp'.

All coloring is crayon.

Love all of the entries. I love the mason jar stamp. And Daniel your coloring on those are wonderful. I find glass hard to color. These have depth. The lids are perfect and the iridescence of the glass...great! I will have to check into that stamp at Judikins.

Mail Art Entry

Here is my entry. Maybe it came about from dealing with insurance companies and the post office after a minor car accident involving a mail carrier. LOL

Thanx, Terri! Yes! Coloring stamped 'glass' can be a real challenge. It's one reason I like using crayons since I can get very subtle.

ITA about the Judikins 'jar'. It's a great size! Don't know its actual name, but it's becoming a fave among my 'container' stamps. Would love to have the same image as a separate 'open' jar & lid, but I can definitely make it work 'as is'!
