Yankee, thanks for joining the challenge! I love both projects. It is great to see different ways foil can be used.

October recycle challenge 2013

Here is my recycle challenge using tin foil. I decided to make an ATC basically because I love doing ATC's. I really had no plan when I set down. Just starting folding foil and decided it looked kind of like a window frame. Found the little turtle I had stamped and thrown into my stamped pieces box which had fallen out on the floor, picked him up and thought I would use it in some way on the card. The little pieces of paper I cut to go in each window section I thought kinda looked like nightime sky, also it was in one of my Christmas exchanges in a pad of papers. Anyway I will have to look up the turtle stamp. I gave him the mohawk hair just because I thought he needed it! And it made me laugh. Kinda wished though that I hadn't include the square in front of the turtle so it would look more realistic to looking out a window. As if a blue turtle with a mohawk riding a skateboard is realistic. HAHAHA

Hey, don't knock that turtle My son looked like him going down the street in S.F. on his skateboard, flying along with the wind! He actually took me out to Taraval st. and showed me how long he could skate on his board w/out stopping.Scared the you know what out of me! And, this was at night no less!

Love your story Julie. My son was a skateboarder too and would do flips in the air, etc.

Terri, this is just too cool! I love all of it. That turtle is the greatest and having a blast! Thanks for doing the challenge!

Talking Foiled Again!

Here's my entry for the 'kitchen foil' challenge.

I backed 2 pieces of foil with adhesive paper to add some strength. The BG was embossed with an EF & raised area swiped with StazOn (pumpkin). The 2nd foil was diecut Memory Box arch. The dragon (Posh) was stamped on aluminum can with StazOn (ultramarine), fussy cut & EF-embossed. The ribbons are Berwick/Offray. Punched eyeholes in the dragon & filled them with sequins. Also used a heart brad. Mounted the piece on CS.

Fun to do. Thanks for the challenge, Willy!

Oooo Very cool Daniel. Your items always have so much texture to them. I always enjoy seeing them. Did you emboss the ribbon also?

Thanks, Terri. The ribbon(s) are sheer so you can see the embossed foil underneath.
