I read that article too, and it was interesting how you can cope with the various problems with the ink and how it varies from printer to printer. I know when I add color to anything I print out, it has a tendency to smear the black ink from the printer. It is not a permanent thing with my printer so I would have to figure out how to make it permanent. So that would be a drawback for me, as when doing hand stamping I can use the type of ink I want from my stash of stamp pads. I do use the computer to computer generate phrases or my own poetry and verses. It is a means for my that I implement because my hand writing is awful, even when I try my very best, you can see it looks more like a first grader (actually they probably can do better than me). Perhaps like you said, one day if I can't do the actual stamping I might try it, but for now I have the investment in all of my stamps and want to keep with them as long as I can. Hugs, Verna

On the subject of ink, I love my Black Staz-on ink but it seems I am always reinking that pad a lot. Anyone else have an alternative ink they use for a permanent ink which can be used with markers and watercolors? I would appreciate your input. Thanks, Verna

It just occured to me that digi stamps would never work for stamping on tins, candles, CD's etc.....I suppose you could print them on some transfer paper possibly....They will have their "place" in the art world....but I'm thinking they may fall by the way side to serious crafters...like the 8 track's...LOL

Verna - my black Staze-on is going on 4 yrs now and still strong...and I do use it a lot. Perhaps you got a bad pad? I would contact Staz-on and ask about it.

My favorite ink pad is Archival Sepia or Black. Once it dries, it is waterproof.

Well, I wonder if it doesn't vary from climate to climate too how your ink pad stays reinked. I keep it upside down so that the ink is at the top too, but I use the Staz-on pad every day if I am stamping. I never thought of Archival..might have to consider that one too. Hugs, Verna

StazOn isn't something I use often. I forgot to add I love India Black, Memories Black as well as the Archival Sepia or Black.

I don't turn any of my ink pads over, I just keep them flat and in a plastic drawer. Some of my pads are close to 10 years old and still good. The only ones I had to throw away recently were Fabrico pad I bought when I first started stamping. The pad crumbled when I tried to use them.

I just started using Memento Tuxedo Black and I find that it is much better than the Stazon. You have to wait about a minute before you use markers with it but it's worth it. Mary

I would like to delete some of my messages. It says I have 59 and can only save 70. I don't know how to do it. I've tried several times. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ann

I feel better knowing that there is another person that does not know how to remove the messages

I believe there is a place that says Inbox and Outbox. Click on that in your PM file. There should be a drop down that says Delete on both of them. Hope that helps. Hugs, Verna

So happy! I am grandma again to another bouncing baby boy. All is well and that is the main thing. Mother, father and child and big brother are doing well. So are grandma and grandpa. Hugs, Verna
