Did anyone used to cut out Betsy from McCall's magazine? I looked forward to her every month.

well am going to try again to post my little doll.

She was created with my Cricut machine. I made her 7.5 inches and then did her clothes to match. I'm not too good anymore guessing sizes but I think I only made one thing a bit too short. I had a lot of fun with her and I will make a little boy for her to play with. (giving them to my ggdaughter).

Julie, Julie, Julie! You don't have to draw your doll or its outfit. You can trace the doll from magazine/catalogs & same for the outfit.

Loosy. Yep. The pic is small, but I have faith. Now... Tell us about her outfit. What PP & stamping did you use?

My doll is ready to head off for its photo shoot & I used only one stamp & one PP.

OK I have a thin chipboard form that I am going to try and dress up. She will not be very big. I was having trouble coming up with the basic form. But now that I read Daniels post I think that was much more creative in thinking. But I am still going to start with the chipboard form. Kinda still in an unknown stage in my head. I just need to start something and then maybe more ideas will flow.

Denise, Julie & all. That's the spirit!

Getting started is often the hardest part of any project--as most of us well know. Have fun!

Sorry Daniel, I got so wrapped up trying to make her larger I forgot all about everything else. Her top is from Cricut, cut it out plain and then embellished it with stars and a flower. I made her pants smaller and cut the bottomes with my scalloped punch. I made her sneakers , added her nailpolish and her bows in her hair and gave her some eyes. She was fun to do and I will try to get her to a larger size.

Okay I did get my chipboard doll finished. Not going to say I followed all of the guidelines exactly but at least I did create something. I don't think Daniel will mind me bending the guidelines a bit. Will he??? But you will have to wait until I return from Thanksgiving holidays to see it.

Oh no went back and read guidelines and he had must
Mine does include stamping but not on patterned paper. And it is not really a paper doll just a small doll.

LOL, Denise! If the 'prez' can pardon a turkey, I can 'pardon' anyone who's willing to take my challenge--even if their result is 'bent'. Heaven knows, I'm bent--but never broken!

Talking

With an assist from a friend, I have pix of my doll--dressed & 'undressed'. My photog pal left his hat on, but it's removeable, too. His underwear isn't!

I drew my doll, colored him with markers & crayons; then fussy-cut it.

His outfit's PP is from BoBunny's 'Liberty' collection. The fur on his outfit was made by using a cloud stamp (Hampton). The heart stripe is an unknown PP.

The detail lines on his outfit were done with fine & medium point Sharpie pens.

Although my doll & I share a slight resemblance, I solemnly swear I did not pose for its creation! My beard isn't as white as his.

Don't forget. There's still time to share your doll with us.
