Great Job Daniel. I am having difficulties with my computer at the moment. Will upload mine if and when I get this thing to act right. Love technology when it works but it sure can be aggravating when it doesn't.

Just a doll ....not paper though
Here is my doll....which didn't follow guidelines. (Thanks for the pardon Daniel)
![]() Also I stamped cloth to make the skirt. Not a very good image but at least it is uploaded. She is connected with jump rings. Painted the chipboard image then highlighted around arms legs with colored pencils. Drew her a face. The hair is feathers a friend gave me because her husband hunts. I have know idea what kind though. Embossed the bodice with a holographic embossing powder. Drew her ballerina shoes. And of course added bling. Really wished her stamped skirt was showing up better. |

Great work everyone. I'm sorry to say Paper Dolls were kinda off my radar as a kid. I think because I got my big sisters' "handmedown" paper dolls (as well as everything else) with the tabs on the clothes torn off so the clothes didn't stick. I couldn't figure out how to make them stay on so it was frustrating. Hee hee now that I think about it, tape with a little extra paper would've been great!! Anyway, after seeing all of your variations on Paper Dolls, I have an idea...

II remember as a youngster there were paper dolls that when you cut them out they didn't stay on the doll cause there were no tabs. I would sit and figure out where the tabs should be and cut them out like that. Sometimes I was wrong and the dress wouldn't hang correctly. Sometimes I cut the tabs longer or wider only to find out it didn't work correctly.
I guess that was my first papercraftering |

WTG, TerriO! You get 'extra credit' for stamping on fabric, pal!
Judi. 'Temporary' dressing is much easier these days, hain't? Hope to see a doll from you. LOL, Yankee! Ain't that what us creative types do? We find a way to make it work & fix what needs fixing. So pleased with the response to my challenge by y'all!

When my son was young, I found a little cowboy "cling" paper doll with his name on it.It had two changes of clothes(cowboy and pirate).I think I had more fun with it than he did! I still have it somewhere!

What fun, Julie! Sounds a bit like 'colorforms'. Does anyone remember them?

I remember them. I had some and loved them. I guess I won't get my paper doll done before the 7th, since it is the 8th today. Soooo much going on. Maybe I will do one anyway, even if it is late. Don't count on it this or next week. Maybe January. I'm still embnossing my Christmas cards.

Yes, different company, but that is what they were! I loved Colorforms and used them with my preschoolers!
