April 2017 Monthly Challenge
Well, we are in another month already! So it is time for another challenge! First I would like to thank the two ladies for doing my challenge last month. Because we only had two to participate, I will be sending both of you an RAK! So congrats to Sheila and Wendy!
![]() For this month's challenge and since it is Spring, I would like to see pastel colors on your project. You may make an ATC, card, scrapbook page, etc. Please use at least one stamped image on your card, not just a saying. If you use a Judikins or Posh stamp on your card your name will be entered twice for an RAK. Wendy has generously said that she will provide the RAK for this month. Thanks so much, Wendy! So let's see all your wonderful cards using pastel colors! If you want you can combine the stencil challenge with this one. Have fun! Also please post your cards here on this thread so that we can see them and comment. April ![]() |

I needed peace of mind so I am here asking questions and looking at art.
My question is for Sheila. How did you do that center Egg? It looks so beautiful. It is soft in color but looks like it has a wonderful texture. |

TerriO, the egg I had in my stash. It is a outline sticker and you put different papers where you want different colors. Then you stick it down like any other piece of paper.
I think i got it at Paper Wishes and the stickers are called dazzles.

Sheila is the paper textured? It just looks wonderfully textured. It makes me want to run my fingers over it.

Here is a card made with pastel chalks. I learned this technique from pjDutton my friend from MO. She scraped a little of the pastel stick onto a scratch sheet of paper and picked up the pigment with a broad tipped brush. Lightly dusted the colors and the paper was now tinted with a beautiful pastel tone. So for this card, I stamped and embossed the swirly image with Egyptian Gold embossing powder. Stamped the "Lisa" face with black ink. Dusted the pastel pigments over the face. Highlighted her eyes and lips with water color.
