Actually Julie, the dies go with the cling and clear stamps. Ann, the stamps store is on the other side of town, but the nursing home is about half way, so on Thurs, I can have my aid from 9-10, wait for my weeks food delivry at noon, leave to see mom at 12:45, get TARPS at 2:30, go to the stamp store, do the two cards and have Mike pick me up or take TARPS home. Yesterday, he picked me up and we went to Walmart (the only place in town that carries marsmallow sugar free candy.) I also wanted some packages for chain maille jewelry, but most of the crafts are gone. Yesterday was also a bad day for Walmart, because the store was packed with back to school shoppers. School supply aislres were packed. But I got two DVD's at $5 each. Circue du Soleil and British film collection, with a version of Jane Eyre, Brideshead Revisited, Becoming Jane. Mrs. Brown and two others. I did good. Then we stopped at Joanne and picked up the chain maille, which I plan to start doing soon.

Ann, I sure miss Go-go. I say hi to his pictures every morning. I have them next to the computer. When the bus passed your apartment, I looked up wondering if he was on his perch, looking out the window. He is such a sweet kitty.

Yeah. I do. But not necessarily as a penwork technique only. Nothing says I can't replace the pen with a stylus & do a Zentangle on a stamped image.

What's more--and this is where lots of Posh & Judikins images can so work--I can use the stylus to emboss the stamp image & add more to it.

I have never been "into" zentangle. I appreciate the work it takes to do it, but I will not do it. Kay, Go-go has been sitting on my lap as I type this. Now, he just jumped down and is sleeping under the table by my feet. Yes, he is a sweet kitty. He's waiting for you to come next summer. He's missed all of your loving. He gets alot of loving, but he thinks it's never enough.

I went to one of the two locally owned stamp stores today. They had quite a few stamp sets with the dies included. They had a make and take with one, so I made a card. It was nice, but I found the set quite limiting. So I saved myself 25 dollars. I bought a ream of card stock especially for Copics. That should last me about a year, since I have a small amount left from the last order. I spilled the black Judikins embossing powder on the kitchen floor that I got at the convention. Glad it was the small jar. So I bought some more today. That's about all I know.

Daniel, can you show us your dry Zentangle embossing. Sounds freaky cool (I've been with my nephews all weekend)!! What do you use under the paper to support the stylus??

Zentangle does not look like something I need to buy. I do enough doodles on my own I'm sure their's are much better...What, not everyone likes to glitter??? That is just NOT right!

I've done some Zentangle. I'm not great, but that's not the point of it. And, as with any craft, the more you do it the better you get.

I'll try to share an example, but may take me a bit, Judi.

Far as support? I like to work on a phonebooks. They cushion the work nicely & the cover is a good thickness of CS. HTH

I have been thinking about maybe trying to go to the Grapevine
stamping convention in Jan.

Judi, will you be there?
