Videos you watch

How much time do you spend watching videos
Do you think you are taking up all of you time watching what other people are creating and you are not making your own special cards.

I watch a lot of u tube, way to much. But I find myself trying new stuff like the gesso and embossing stencil paste. I never would have thought of that.
I do read craft books, but I do better at learning when I see it done.

I d watch a lot of u-tube. I am always looking for new inspiration for my Sheperds Center class. They are mostly newbies and it's hard to offer something too advanced. I also use up a lot of my time with those u-tubes. I really need to stop some of them.

You mean stamping videos? Very little time. Even when my VCR/DVD was working, I still did not spend much time. I think I only have/had one. I do watch movies. But again, not many.

I do not watch many videos. It is usually when I have heard of a technique or card fold that I may go and search out one. I do not believe it takes away from creativity as long as you do not just make the same exact thing. I will say however I have seen some in the crafting area that I have wanted to make the same exact thing. Not rubberstamping.

I watch videos when I need to "see" how something is done. Not necessarily to copy idea. Ex. watching Judi's video with inks.

I watch videos from Stamp TV, Christina Griffith, and a bunch of other sites. They help to give me technique ideas and inspire me to try different folds, etc. The ones I really like I download and put them on a flash drive to refer to now and then. Like Wendy, I like to 'see' how things are done, as I am a visual learner.

Watching videos also helps remember what we already know.
I tried making bottle cap ear rings for the girls last night, and was having a terrible time.
Sat down to watch a video on how to and realized there was a tool to do the holes and I wasn't using it. Afterwards I made several pairs with no problems and it was fun!

Great Sheila. It's fun to find out what you missed and correct it. That's mostly what I use the videos for.
